This is a consultant/independent contractor position.

Position Description: Work independently and collaboratively in writing test prep curriculum for specific state teacher certification exams. This includes slideshows that teach the key subject matter for the exam, and practice tests that replicate the exam style and structure. You may also teach on-camera lessons for our video-based Online Prep programs.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with coursework focused on the specific content area in which you intend to write curriculum. Exceptional teaching skills, writing ability, creativity, analytical skills and research skills. Able to work independently and meet deadlines. Basic proficiency in PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a related field. At least 2 years teaching experience, including curriculum-writing.

Compensation: $3000-$5000 per project. (In general, completing a project takes consultants around one month of full-time work or 2-3 months of part-time work.)

Hours/Locations: Los Angeles area. Schedule is flexible and you may elect to work part or full time. You will work primarily from home, but will be asked to meet with our curriculum team at our office periodically (approximately once every 2 weeks). During periods of video production, you will be expected to come in more regularly.
