FTCE General Knowledge Test Info

FTCE General Knowledge Exam Overview

 

The FTCE General Knowledge Test (GK) is a basic skills exam with subtests covering mathematics, reading, English language skills and an Essay.  The mathematics, reading, and English language skills sections are comprised entirely of multiple choice questions.  The Essay subtest gives you two topics to choose from to write one essay.

Number of questions: 45 selected responses for Mathematics, 40 selected responses for Reading; 40 selected responses for Engligh Language Skills; one essay for the Essay subtest
