The Praxis Special Education: Core Knowledge and Applications (5354) exam is a test required by many states for credential candidates planning to work in special education classrooms. It is a single, computer-delivered test that includes questions from five content categories.
The content categories are Development and Characteristics of Learners; Planning and the Learning Environment; Instruction; Assessment; and Foundations and Professional Responsibilities.
The test consists of selected-response questions only. Questions may address disabilities of any degree varying from mild to profound.
