Planning Your TExES Test Registration
When you register for the TExES, it is important that you choose the testing scenario that will work best for you.
The TExES Science of Teaching Reading (STR) (293) consists of 90 multiple choice questions and 1 constructed response question. After 15 minutes for a CAT tutorial and compliance agreement, you are given 4 hours and 45 minutes of testing time.

Also take a full-length TExES Practice Test to see how much preparation you need in the different areas. We suggest completing the appropriate practice tests under exam conditions to get a better idea of what your test day experience will be like. This will help you decide which testing scenario will let you achieve your best result.
